Move from BandHelper to Stage Friend
BandHelper exports your songs as ChordPro, with their lyrics and chords, and Stage Friend imports that export in two steps: export from bandhelper.com, then drop the zip in. Your songs come over with their keys and lengths too, so you don't type a single chart again. The export holds songs rather than set lists, so this page also says how to rebuild your sets quickly. The switch page compares the two apps if you're still deciding.
1Export from BandHelper
BandHelper's export is only on its website, so open bandhelper.com in a browser and log in rather than using the app. Under Repertoire, open Songs, select your songs and press Export ChordPro, and a zip file downloads. The export buttons only show for admins of the BandHelper account, so if you don't see them, ask the bandmate who set the account up.
2Drop it into Stage Friend
Start an import, choose BandHelper and drop the zip in, or tap the box to pick it. Each song comes over with its lyrics, chords, key and length. The song list from BandHelper's plain Export button can be dropped in too: Stage Friend takes the title, artist, key, length, lyrics and chords from its columns, and a chord progression kept in BandHelper's separate Chords field goes above the lyrics. To look before you sign up, drop the zip at go.stagefriend.app/try: your song list shows on your device, and nothing is kept until you choose to keep it.
What stays behind
BandHelper's export holds songs but not set lists, so your set lists don't come over. Since the songs are already in your library, making a setlist again is a matter of picking them and dragging them into order. Documents, recordings, notes and tempos stay behind too; set the tempo in the metronome, and for listening, Solo Pro and Stage Pro let a song play along from Spotify or YouTube.
Once you're in, open a setlist and swipe from song to song, see Play a setlist. If you ran your gigs in BandHelper, Stage Pro's gigs give each show its own setlist with set times, and invite your band so everyone plays from the same songs.
