Move your songs to Stage Friend from another app
You don't have to type your songbook in again to switch to Stage Friend. It reads the backup or export of SongbookPro, BandHelper and Setlist Helper, the ChordPro export of OnSong and most other chord apps, and Spotify playlists and spreadsheets, and it brings your songs over with their lyrics, chords and keys, and your setlists where your old app has them. Start with how an import works, then pick your app below for its two steps: get the songs out, then drop them in.

Import your songsStage Friend imports a whole library from another app in one go, with lyrics, chords and keys, so the songs you spent years collecting don't have to be typed in again. Every import follows the same path: pick the app or file you have, look through the songs it found, then add them. Nothing is added until you've looked through the list, and songs brought in from files never use the free plan's web imports.Start an import · Check the songs and add them · What comes over · How much at once · Try it before you sign upFrom OnSongYou can move from OnSong to Stage Friend by exporting your OnSong library as ChordPro files and dropping them into Stage Friend's import, which keeps the lyrics and chords of every song. Nobody wants to type a few hundred songs in again, and this way you don't: one export takes the whole book. Your songs then open on Android phones and tablets too, and in a web browser. The export carries songs rather than sets, so this page also says how to rebuild them.Export from OnSong · Drop it into Stage Friend · What stays behindFrom SongbookProA SongbookPro backup moves your whole library to Stage Friend in two steps: make the backup, then drop it in. Moving doesn't mean typing your songs in again, because Stage Friend reads that one file and brings every song with its lyrics, chords and key, and every set as a setlist in the same order. It takes a couple of minutes, and you can look through the result before you make an account. These are the way in when your old app isn't on the list, or when your songs live in a playlist or a spreadsheet rather than an app. Files bring lyrics and chords; a playlist or a list brings titles and artists, and Stage Friend helps you find the chords later. All of them start where every import starts, see Start an import.ChordPro or text files · A Spotify playlist · A list in Excel or Google Sheets · Write a list yourself
