Play the gig: check off songs and see the recap

At a gig in Stage Friend you check off each song as you play it, so you always see what's left, even when the band skips around the set. There's nothing to start or stop: in the gig's setlist in the menu, a tap on the song's number marks it played, and another tap undoes it. Afterwards, the gig recap shows how many songs you played, how long you were on stage and which ones you skipped. To let Stage Friend pick the next song instead, see Draw a song.

Check off a song as played

Halfway through the second set, with a request or two thrown in, it's easy to lose track of what you've played. Open the gig's Setlist in the menu and tap the number in front of a song when you've played it: the song is dimmed and gets a check. Tap it again if you got it wrong. On a computer or a tablet held sideways, Mark as played and Mark as not played are also at the top of the song's three dots. The gig page shows the checks too, but you set them in the menu.

To see only what's left, tap Show and choose Not played: the played songs leave the list while the sets and the order stay as they were. A foot pedal can check songs off too, so your hands stay on the instrument: give a key the Mark as played command and press it on the song you just played; see Gig commands.

Starts on your gig's page. Not there yet? See Open your gig.

1.Open the menu and choose Setlist: the gig's songs. Tap the number in front of a song when you have played it. It is dimmed and gets a check. On a computer you can also open the song's three dots and choose Mark as played.

    See the recap

As soon as a song is checked off, Gig recap shows on the gig page's Setlist tab. It tells you how many of the songs you played, when you started and finished, how long you were on stage, and which songs you skipped. The times come from when you checked the songs off, and the finish adds the length of the last song you checked off, so the time on stage matches the night. The skipped songs are a good list to look at before the next rehearsal.

    Start the set over

If you play the same set again, the next night or after a soundcheck run, the old checks are in the way. Open the gig's three dots in the menu and choose Uncheck played: after asking Uncheck all played songs? it clears every check, so you can play the set from the top. The votes your audience sent stay as they are. If the same set has more nights coming up, create a gig for each one and use Import from setlist to fill it, so every night gets its own recap.

    Questions

Do I have to start the gig before checking off songs?
No, there is no start button: you can check off a song at any time, before, during or after the show. A tap on the song's number in the gig's setlist marks it, and another tap undoes it.
Does the band see which songs are played?
Yes, the checks belong to the gig's setlist, so everyone in the band sees the same songs checked off once the change has synced.
Can a drawn song be checked off automatically?
No, the song draw only picks the song. You check it off yourself once you've played it, the same as any other song.
